Downtown Mobile Alabama Photographer

Gorgeous couple poses for engagement portraits with the city of Mobile, AL in the background. Fort Conde, The RSA Tower, and Riverview can be seen.

Wind your way down Highway 65 and on the banks of a handsome river lined with cattails you'll see one of the oldest cities in the United States: Mobile. Before 1814, the city was ruled by France, England, and Spain, influences of which can still be seen today, from the Spanish Fort to the French architecture throughout. Mobile was also shaped by its success as a port city, which brought cultures and influences from all corners of the globe. Where those foreign vessels may have once docked now stands the majestic SS Alabama. A true World War II battleship, this monument to American sacrifice now serves as tourist attraction, museum, and memorial.

Perched on the Mobile Bay, Mobile’s eastern edge opens up to the horizon giving visitors front-row seats to some of the most beautiful skyscapes nature has to offer. Minutes away from the heart of downtown, watch the sky fade from warm pinks and oranges to smokey lilac. As the sun sinks, it reveals the velvety blackness of a dark sky filled with countless stars.

Once the sun goes down, Mobile’s downtown wakes up. Go to Water Street for a classic pub crawl, enjoy live music at one of the many locally owned and operated venues, or sit beneath dreamy Spanish moss and bask in the dappled moonlight.
