About Candice Brown
I am a Fairhope-based wedding and portrait photographer known for a clean, timeless aesthetic, refined use of natural light, and an intuitive ability to help clients feel completely at ease. My work focuses on luxury wedding photography throughout Fairhope, Mobile, Baldwin County, and the Gulf Coast.
Since launching my studio in 2013, I’ve photographed 150+ weddings, approaching each celebration with intention, artistry, and genuine care. My love for photography began early — from the Polaroid I carried in grade school to the professional tools I use today — and that same joy still shapes every wedding I document.
In 2018, I earned my Certified Professional Photographer designation through the Professional Photographers of America. I’ve been a proud PPA member for 12 years, and I am actively pursuing the Master of Wedding Photography and Master Photographer degrees to continually elevate the standard of my work.
Weddings have always been my passion. They are vibrant, emotional, beautifully unpredictable, and endlessly inspiring. By blending documentary-style storytelling with guided, natural posing, I create wedding images that feel elevated, honest, and deeply personal — photographs meant to be treasured now and for generations to come.

My Life and Inspiration
I make my home in Fairhope, Alabama, where I spend my days with my two girls and our unforgettable pets: Cotton Cupcake, our sassy, posh English Angora rabbit, and Boudreaux, our brilliant adopted “Alabama Brown Dog.” Our home is warm, lively, and full of personality — and that sense of heart and authenticity inspires the way I photograph others.
My background in classical music instilled discipline, creativity, and an appreciation for strong fundamentals. I completed the photography certification program at the University of South Alabama and have since trained in person with world-renowned photographers. Ongoing education is a core value, and I regularly submit work to PPA’s International Photographic Competition, where my images have earned merit recognition.

Pictures bring me joy. A love for photography has always been a part of me. From carrying around my handy Polaroid in grade school to wielding my arsenal of Nikons and lenses at weddings, I have always loved making photographs.
More specifically, I love making beautiful images that will bring others joy and happiness, which is why I am drawn to wedding photography. Weddings are full of excitement, energy, drama and beauty. By mixing a photojournalistic style and guided posing, my goal is to create timeless wedding photographs to be cherished for generations.

Awards and Accolades
Pushing to get better is always a priority. One of the ways I do that is submitting to photography competitions like PPA's International Photographic Competition. Since PPA started their Master of Wedding Photography Degree, I've had images merit. I was also a finalist in the Shoot and Share competition.
Education

An emphasis on education is the foundation of my photography successes. My background in classical music instilled an understanding of how strong fundamentals are necessary for creative success. Before starting Candice Brown Photography, I completed the photography certification program at the University of South Alabama. It was a wonderful starting point and I recommend it to anyone in the Mobile area who wants to learn more about photography- professionally or just as a hobbyist. Since then, I’ve regularly attended conferences and small workshops taught by some of the best photographers in the world, and I say that without exaggeration. Call me old school-but I prefer to learn in-person from the best.
