Inspired by the rolling hills of Virginia’s horse country, Loblolly Farm is nestled on 400 acres in Semmes, Alabama. Multiple event sites offer spaces suited for weddings, corporate mixers, anniversary celebrations, birthday parties, school fundraisers, and community events.
The Spaces of the Farm
Building No. 9 is set atop a hill providing beautiful sunset views. The serene setting is perfect for sunrise yoga and nature classes. The covered pavilion allows for ample seating, ideal for rehearsal dinners, corporate training events, and outdoor dinner parties. The fire pit and ambient lighting are icing on the cake.
The Holly Field has a 3,200 square foot pavilion on three acres of grass fields surrounded by rows of pines. If you special event needs space to roam, then this is the spot for you.
The more premier 3,400 square foot space is the Lakeside Pavilion. Donning vintage lighting it accommodates large weddings. The stairwell down to Lake Nikki is a favorite picture setting.
If you are looking for a more rustic theme, Chapel O’ The Pines is for you. The intimate spot nestled among pines will fulfill all of your boho wedding dreams.
Photography sessions are welcome at Loblolly Farm. The rate is reasonable at $60.00 per hour during business hours. If you plan on photographing many sessions there, then it would be beneficial to become a Sapphire Project Member. The annual rate for membership is $150 per year.
The Carolina Sapphire Cyprus is a fast growing evergreen tree. Deer, disease, and insect resistant, it is often used as privacy borders. They can grow to 20-30 feet tall and the lacy, silvery blue foliage is lovely. The Sapphire Project is mainly focused on maintaining the Carolina Sapphire plantation at Loblolly Farm.
This membership particularly helps photographers save a little money. The $150 membership includes unlimited sessions. If you photograph there a lot, this can save a considerable amount since the regular fee is $60/hr. It also includes free admission to Farm events, movie nights, etc.
